Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2007

Diane Von Furstenberg invented the wrap dress as we know it and judging by this collection she shows no signs of letting it go. The show opened and ended with her staple design and everything in between was a colorful explosion of patterns and print. The looks were fresh, funky and fun, with a little something in there for everyone. The only negative thing I have to say about this collection is that it didn’t seem to have a clear vision, i.e. it was all over the place - from the 70s geometric prints to the floaty chiffon dresses (oh and don’t forget the ladybug on look number 26), the looks just didn’t seem cohesive. Plus you know they were dead wrong for putting that bright pink lipstick on the black model in look number 14! Other than that I say “Viva La Wrap!”
