Sneak-a-Peak…

Pieces from Kate Moss' new line for Topshop.
Topshop has high hopes for its highly anticipated new line by Kate Moss premiering May 1st in the U.K. Topshop is so confident in their new ally that they plan to launch the collection in select Barneys stores across the States. The 91-piece line was ‘designed’ by Kate and will debut on May 9th. Prices will range from $24 (for a vest T-shirt) to well over $200 (for a leather jacket). The move across the Atlantic is well overdue if you ask me, Topshop has 303 UK stores and 9 overseas but none in the U.S! Head over to www.katemosstopshop.com to virtually flick through their Lookbook and to see behind-the-scenes footage.

Booty-licious

Kelly Rowland candid taken in 2005.
Ashlee and Jessica Simpson leaving their hotel last Summer.
Zoe Saldana at the New Era Fits Booth at the VMA Style Villa at the Bryant Park Hotel last August in New York City.
Kate Moss candid in Notting Hill before meeting an unidentified friend for lunch at Zucca in 2004, London.
Ugh, I’m mad at how cold it is. Today walking around in D.C. was treacherous. Every step a negotiation. I know other states have it much worse but the slushy snow put me in a bad mood. To make matters worse I was so unprepared. I have boots, but they aren’t completely flat and the sole’s grip is worn down. I’m currently on a quest to find some cute, flat and functional knee-high boots that’ll see me through the rest of winter but take me effortlessly into the next season. Think suede boots and denim skirts in spring.

Jeans 101: Boyfriend Jeans

Naomi Campbell on the runway during Dolce & Gabbana’s ready-to-wear fall collection.
Kate Moss candid taken during London Fashion Week wearing jeans by Chloe.
Jada Pinkett-Smith candid.

Jeans don’t have to fit so tight that you’re forced to unbutton them after every meal! I bought my first pair of ‘boyfriend-fit’ jeans last year and I love how comfortable they are. Some of you may be weary, but I’ve found that the best way to wear them is to fold the hem about an inch and a half, team with white sneakers and wear with a cute belt and tight top.

Shake Your Booty!

Candid of Kate Moss in London last year.
Jessica Simpson arrives for her performance on The Early Show at CBS Plaza earlier this month in New York City.
Golden Brooks arriving at the CW Launch Party at the Warner Bros. Studio last night in Burbank, California.

If ankle boots are not quite your thing then try these tan colored, knee-high boots that are surfacing all over the shops. They look great with jeans or a dress and just imagine a great winter coat draped on top of your outfit. Boots teamed with a trench coat is a look that’ll never go out of style. And while you’re here take a moment to admire Kate Moss’ pair… if anyone knows who designed them please let me know - I want them!

Traces of Lace...

Thandie Newton attending the VIP launch party for British couture label Marchesa's Spring/Summer 2006 collection, in Selfridges, Oxford Street earlier this year.Kate Moss attends the 2005 CFDA Awards at the New York Public Library.Venus Williams arriving at 'The Cipriani Wall Street Concert Series' at Cipriani Wall Street in November last year.

I've always wanted a lace dress, but finding one that doesn't look like something your grandmother would wear has proven challenging! The key perhaps is to wear only a little, like the ladies above who restrict themselves to just splashes of the material. If dresses aren't your thing try a skirt like Thandie Newton... So don't confine lace to just your lingerie, it's too sexy for just your man to see!

Forget Function!

Remember when belts used to be functional?... No?! Well I don't blame you for forgetting because it seems they've become more of a style accessory... nothing wrong with that, but why can't they do both?! If you're anything like me you have a stack of belts in your closet for any occasion and since they've become the must-have accessory of the year, take the time to find one that really suits your style. Check out the ladies above for ideas!

Kate Moss

The eternally stylish Kate Moss gets it right again with this red, polka dot dress. I've always wondered where her daughter is when they take these candid photos, we never see them together but I digress! Anyway, this dress is a salute to the 50's with its retro cut and color... note the black leather belt Kate adds to give the look a modern twist!

See above entry to see how to recreate Kate's look :)

Steal Kate's Style...

The red dress Kate is wearing below my not work on my skin complexion (or maybe i'm a little afraid of red!,) so I found a flattering black polka dot dress instead. The Bowtie Polka, from Forever 21, is just $27.80 and a great variation of the original. Team with this deep brown leather belt from Steve Madden (W-cinch $50.00) and these gold leather shoes by Nine West (Offlane $49.99)

UK ladies get the exact dress for just £35.00 from www.asos.com (direct link below).
