Other guest included singers Faith Evans, Teyanna Taylor and Erykah Badu; actresses Malinda Williams, Vanessa Williams, Kenya Moore and Regina King; and Veronica Webb, June Ambrose, Susan Taylor and of course DJ Beverly Bond. See the pics above for red carpet shots of all our favorite divas. My personal favorites are Ms. Moore's and Veronica Webb - work it ladies!! Let Purple Reign...

Rihanna inside the 8th Annual Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheatre last summer in California.
Kenya Moore arriving at the premiere of Screen Gem's "Stomp The Yard" at the Cinerama Dome on Monday night in LA.
Angela Bassett arriving for the Film Life's 2006 Black Movie Awards at the Shrine Wiltern Theater on October 15, 2006 in Los Angeles, California.
Malinda Williams and Niecy Nash attending the launch of the dramatized audio recording of "The Bible Experience" held at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ on last November in LA.
Jada Pinkett Smith inside the “Will and Jada Smith” party honoring Grammy nominee Mary J. Blige held at at Boulevard3 last month in Hollywood, California.

Why should only royals and the artist known as Prince get to prance about in purple garments? Nothing says “look at me I’m special” like a jewel-purple dress paired with gold heels and diamonds. The ladies above are already enjoying the benefits of this regal hue. From violet to plum, every variation is bound to make you shine. All you need now is your crown…

Style on the Go...

Kenya Moore arriving at the premiere of Screen Gem's "Stomp The Yard" at the Cinerama Dome on Monday night in LA.
Jennifer Hudson arriving for her David Letterman appearance two nights ago.
Malinda Williams attending the 33rd Annual People’s Choice Awards last night in LA.
Meagan Good attending the premiere of Screen Gem's "Stomp The Yard" at the Cinerama Dome on Monday night in LA.
Tia Mowry arriving at the premiere of Screen Gem's "Stomp The Yard" at the Cinerama Dome on Monday night in LA.

I couldn’t pick just four people so I threw in an extra celebrity. Jennifer Hudson has really impressed me these last couple of weeks. Granted she’s lost a lot of weight but that is not what I’m referring to. Her style choices, or perhaps her stylist’s, have vastly improved. I think she looks so elegant in this black, knee length dress that she wore on Letterman… her stock is really on the rise.

Meagan Good, Kenya Moore and Tia Mowry were all at the “Stomp The Yard” premiere (I might actually go to see this movie for the dancing). All the aforementioned ladies looked fabulous, especially Kenya Moore who looked STUNNING in her plum colored dress. Tia Mowry had the best accessory of all. She brought along her cute fiancĂ© Cory Hardrict and made sure the paps got a good pic of her rock! Congrats to her.

Finally, Malinda Williams channeled the 1930s with her short, wavy hair. The dress is a little awkward in the front but the color is perfect for her. Look out for Malinda in Tyler Perry’s next movie “Daddy’s Little Girls.” Until then peep her personal site here.

2006 ESPY Awards

Sanaa Lathan and Brandy - Sanaa was doing the damn thing last night!
Married Couples Alonzo & Tracy Mourning and Kobe & Vanessa Bryant looked fab!!
Yolonda Adams and Kenya Moore
Rosario Dawson and Venus Williams - Venus looking pretty good accept for that hair :(
Janet and Mariah - Mariah, I am so glad you covered your-damn-self up and Janet, you'd better WORK IT! I see you making the rounds because your new album's about to drop!

The ESPY Awards took place last night at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Everyone looked great bar Venus, but that is fast becoming a rule and not an acception! I wish she would stop sweeping her hair accross her forehead like that... NOT C.U.T.E! Be sure to catch the show when it airs on Sunday, July 16th @ 9pm ET on ESPN.
