Catwalk Copy Gone Wrong…

On the left is the original Diane von Furstenberg floral shift dress from the Cerisier line ($325). On the right is the blatant copy from Forever 21 ($32.50).

Diane von Furstenberg is suing our friends at Forever 21. According to WWD, Diane von Furstenberg’s Studio filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Forever 21 Retail Inc. late last week in Manhattan federal court. According to legal documents obtained Tuesday, the company alleged Forever 21 has sold dresses that infringe on its Cerisier and Aubrey designs.

Forever 21 had better be careful it seems DVF aren’t the only ones with cause for concern. Head over to Invade My Closet to view more “Catwalk Copies.” The similarities are nothing short of uncanny!

Products I’m Lovin’…

I just bought the Select SPF 15 Liquid Foundation in NW47 from MAC. It is by far the best foundation I’ve ever bought and for $25 I think it’s worth it. I also invested in their Foundation Brush (190) which cost $32. I must have at least three practically unused foundations, and even more face powders, that I’ve bought and discarded because I didn’t like the way they looked in daylight or in photos. This time I made sure I knew what I was getting into and visited the MAC counter no less than three times before settling on this foundation. Each time I got their makeup artist to put the foundation on, then I bounced to see my face in different lighting! I’m sure they think I’m crazy but I didn’t want to make another mistake. If you’re like me and have slightly oily skin and mild hyperpigmentation this product is for you.

Get Your Stunnas On...

Kelis rocking her then, new hairstyle and sunglasses… Work it!

It’s that time again. It’s officially spring and the sun is starting to peek through the clouds. I’m in desperate need of some new sunglasses. I like to buy a new pair every year but I have a Jackie Onasis pair that I love to death and I'll still be rocking them this summer. Aviator sunglasses are still 'in' but they really are no hard and fast rules when it comes to sunglasses fashion. It’s much more important to find a pair that compliment your face. See below for ideas.
